Dana is a certified yoga health coach, 800 hour advanced certified yoga teacher and mother of 2 rambunctious young boys. She has been studying yoga since 2000, teaching since 2004 and has over 1000 hours of training (in the styles of Jivamukti, Anusara and Sridaiva). Born in South Africa and raised in Texas, she has a deep love and voracious appetite for travel, adventure and learning. She’s passionate about healthy living, the creative arts and everything yoga.
Dana’s yoga classes bridge the gap between life on and off the mat. She inspires and encourages students to go to their edge both in asana and in their daily lives. Her classes entail creative vinyasa sequences that gradually, progressively and safely lead students into more challenging poses through detailed alignment instruction. She includes the teachings of Tantric and Traditional Yoga, Hindu mythology, Buddhist philosophy, Ayurveda and modern psychology. With deep respect for the traditions of yoga, she’s not afraid to think outside the box and innovate and experiment with different movement styles.
