book a class with alicia
Alicia found yoga originally as a way of healing her physical body of injuries and finding balance after years of competitive judo and rugby. She found it to be very effective and quickly fell in love with not only the physical practice but with yoga as a whole. Purposefully finding stillness and creating space in her life through meditation and living more consciously has been immensely healing. Every time she steps on her mat she feels like she is “coming home”. Alicia took her first 200hr yoga training in 2014 under Randelle Lusk and has been so grateful and honoured to be able to share her practice with others since then. Alicia has a life long love affair with movement and continues to love and practice sports including CrossFit, calisthenics and now distance running. She enjoys training for and competing in local competitions. She has found yoga is the perfect balance to the physical and mental intensity and stress of not only athletic training but also to the routine busyness of life as a wife and mom. Alicia loves to teach vinyasa flow yoga, focusing on interesting transitions, eclectic playlists and intelligent sequencing. Her “inversion immersion” class highlights some of her favourite parts of the practice, arm balances and everything upside down. When she isn’t practicing yoga or training another discipline, Alicia likes to spend time in nature, gardening, creating delicious food and natural products through her company Green Butterfly Co and whenever she can, traveling to a new destination.
